CHANGE Illinois is very excited to announce our newest addition to the Board of Directors, Allaina Humphreys! 

Allaina came to the organization through the BoardLead program. She brings an extensive marketing and communications background to the organization. Along with her communications acumen, Allaina brings a unique blend of advocacy, nonprofit leadership, professional graphic design experience, and ten years of previous commission and board experience to the organization.  

“As a disabled LGBTQ+ woman, nonprofit leader, Bolingbrook resident, and IWIL 2025 cohort member, I bring lived experience, inclusive design skills, and leadership training rooted in equity and civic engagement, ” said Allaina. “I’ve spent years advocating at the local level, building coalitions, and making systems more accessible. I’m eager to help CHANGE Illinois strengthen democracy and ensure representatives from every community, especially those often overlooked, have a voice and a seat at the table.”

CHANGE Illinois is very excited about Allaina’s addition to our board, and know her professional and volunteer experience will help us continue our mission to create an equitable democracy to empower Illinoisans across the state through education, advocacy, and policy.
